Quinta Almara is a spacious villa set in extensive private and mature gardens high on a ridge to the east of the city of Lagos. The grounds are extensive and include many fig, almond, orange and lemon trees, plus a small vineyard. The grounds are lovingly tended by Sr. António, the full time gardener. The views to the Atlantic and over Lagos itself are breathtaking, giving an almost 180 degree vista. You are able to walk to the fabulous Meia Praia beach and the excellent Lagos marina in about 15 minutes, or drive in less than 5 minutes. For golfers the picturesque Palmares golf course is just a short drive. Lagos is one of the most attractive cities in the Algarve, where you can wander the narrow cobbled streets in the old quarter at your leisure and enjoy a drink or a leisurely lunch or dinner at one of the many street cafés. There is a plentiful amount of nightlife comprising bars, clubs and many excellent restaurants. You will have a choice of four large supermarkets for all your shopping needs. To the west of the city you will find the beaches at Praia D’Ana and Porto Do Mos, both with interesting rock formations and excellent for snorkeling. The Lagos marina is now well established, with a selection of cafés and restaurants, and from here you will also be able to arrange an assortment of cruises, fishing and boat trips.
The accommodation at Quinta Almara consists of the villa itself, which is built on one level, and a further separate bedroom annexe plus "cottage" which gives our guests excellent scope for flexibility in their holiday requirements should teenagers, nannies or other staff need separate sleeping arrangements:

Quinta Almara is surrounded by magnificent landscaped gardens and has terracing on a number of levels. There is also a private tennis court (equipment is not provided), which can be floodlit (the lighting will be metered). The upper terrace is great for dining, and there is a shaded barbecue area. The pool terrace has superb views and is excellent for sunbathing. Additionally there is a poolside bar with fridge, a kitchenette and shower with WC. There is also a small snooker table, a dartboard and a table tennis table.
