Jardim da Meia Praia is a recently opened private luxury development close to the historic and picturesque city of Lagos in the western Algarve. It is an ideal family holiday centre, having a large swimming pool with additional children’s shallow pool, tennis court with professional coaching available, children’s playground, Kids Activities Club and Soccer School (ages 4-16) during school holidays and a restaurant and bar on site, which is open all day. Lagos itself, just under a mile away is one of the most attractive cities in the Algarve, where you can wander the narrow cobbled streets in the old quarter and enjoy a drink or a leisurely meal at one of the many street cafes. There is a plentiful amount of nightlife with bars, clubs and many excellent restaurants. You will have a choice of four large supermarkets for all your shopping needs. To the west of the city, you will find the beaches at Praia da Dona Ana and Porto de Mós, both with interesting rock formations and excellent for snorkeling. The closest beach to the apartments is Meia Praia beach itself, under half a mile away. One the Algarve's most famous beaches, Meia Praia stretches for over 6 miles along Lagos Bay. It is an ideal holiday destination for families with children as there is much to keep the little ones occupied such as investigating the flotsam and jetsam washed up onto the shore, collecting shells, building sand castles or even feeding the seagulls. If you are keen on long walks, this beach is ideal for you. There are several snack bars and restaurants dotted along the beach providing ideal watering holes on hot summer days. A variety of sports facilities can be found along Meia Praia, including para-gliding, sailing, windsurfing, surf, volley-ball and tennis-courts. The Lagos Marina is now well established, with a selection of cafes and restaurants, and from here you will also be able to arrange an assortment of cruises, fishing, and boat trips. The Palmares Golf course is only a five minute drive from the resort.
The properties are set amidst exotic Moorish style gardens with a network of traditional Portuguese cobbled paths linking a selection of attractive water features. All properties are on two levels and furnished and equipped to the highest standards. The two bedroom apartments all have a spacious living and dining area, equipped with a sound system and satellite television and a kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. Upstairs, you will find two bedrooms sharing a full bathroom, with one of the bedrooms having access to a veranda. There will normally be one double and one twin bedroom.
