Cerro Da Vela is an imposing 5 bedroom Premier Villa just outside the small village of Livramento in the unspoilt eastern Algarve between Olhao and Tavira, part of the eastern Algarve, Portugal.
The villa is very close to the estuary and beaches, and has superb sea views, but there is no access directly to the closest beaches from the villa.
The pretty town of Luz da Tavira is about 5 Kilometres from the villa; here you will find local shopping, banks, a local market and a health centre plus some small restaurants and bars.
Tavira is about 15 Kilometres away, with a choice of main shopping, and an excellent choice of bars and restaurants.
There is a choice of beaches within a short drive from the villa. To the east you have Praia da Barril and Pedras del Rei, both about 8 Kilometres away. You have to cross the estuary by bridge, and then a small train takes you to the beaches. In the westerly direction you have Fuseta which is about 5 Kilometres from the villa.
Fuseta is a quaint little village with some bars and restaurants. It has its own beach, but there is also a ferry across the lagoon (excellent for windsurfing), to Armona Island, which is a spectacular long sandy beach with dunes, very quiet even in the height of summer.
There is now a choice of 3 golf courses in the Tavira area - Benamor, Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima, plus 3 others further east - Monte Rei near Vila Nova da Cacela, and Castro Marim and Quinta do Vale both at Castro Marim on the Spanish border.
The accommodation at the villa is arranged as follows:
Ground Floor
- Light and airy living room with French doors to the decked terrace and super views of the sea
- Dining room with seating for 10.
- Large modern kitchen with Bosch appliances including an American Fridge with ice maker, oven, electric hob, dishwasher and microwave oven
- Laundry room with washing machine and dryer
- Bedroom 1 - Double bedroom with en-suite bathroom
- Guest WC.
First Floor
- Bedroom 2 and 3 - Twin bedrooms both with en-suite shower rooms and magnificent sea views
- Bedroom 4 - Double bedroom with en-suite bathroom
- Bedroom 5 - Double bedroom with its own external access (no access from the villa). This room has an en-suite shower room and sea views
Outside
- Cerro da Vela is set in extensive grounds of mature Oak and Pine trees, with a large area of lawned garden where children can play.
- There is a decked area around the large swimming pool, and all the time you have the excellent views of the sea.
- Adjacent to and with access from are the villa terraces which have awnings available to provide shade, comfortable furniture for relaxing, and a separate shaded dining terrace with table and chairs and a new bbq.
- There is a floodlit tennis court. Guests need to provide their own equipment.

- Car hire is essential for this villa and for exploring the Algarve - we can arrange for a car to be ready at the airport or delivered to your Premier Villa at a time of your choice. All prices are per week for the villa only. Villas are booked from 2:30pm on your arrival day (Saturday) to 10:00am on your departure day (the following Saturday). Please note that availability shown is subject to confirmation - please call our reservations team.
